Bat Control Services on Haile Selassie Avenue
Buildings along Haile Selassie Avenue include offices, commercial premises, and other structures with upper-level spaces and roof features that may occasionally provide shelter for bats. Gaps around roofing materials, ventilation openings, and concealed building joints can create access routes into areas that receive little disturbance. When bats begin using these spaces regularly, droppings, odours, and repeated activity around the roof may become a concern for occupants and property managers.
Maident Pest Control Services provides bat control assistance for properties along Haile Selassie Avenue. Our process begins with an assessment to establish whether bats are roosting inside the building and identify the openings they may be using. In commercial premises, locating the source of the activity is particularly important because concealed roof spaces can be difficult to inspect and may be connected to several rooms or work areas.
A suitable bat management plan focuses on safe exclusion and prevention. Depending on the situation, professionally selected exclusion methods may allow bats to exit without returning through the same access point. The process must be carefully timed to avoid trapping animals inside, particularly where dependent young may be present. Appropriate wildlife protection requirements in Kenya should be observed throughout the work.
After exclusion, accumulated droppings may require attention. Dry deposits should not be disturbed without suitable precautions because airborne dust can spread through enclosed spaces. Depending on the level of contamination, professional cleaning and repairs to affected materials may be recommended to address hygiene concerns and persistent odours.
Building managers can reduce future access by maintaining roof structures, repairing damaged exterior fittings, securing appropriate ventilation openings, and checking vulnerable spaces during routine maintenance. Early attention to suspected roosting can help prevent an ongoing problem.
